How Old Is Paxton From Never Have I Ever

So, you're burning to know: How old is Paxton Hall-Yoshida from Never Have I Ever? It’s the question that haunts every fan’s group chat. Don’t worry, I’ve got the juicy details.

The Simple Answer (Sort Of)

In Season 1, Paxton is a junior in high school. That makes him 16 or 17 years old. But the show’s timeline loves to play tricks on us.

Paxton is famously a year older than Devi. She’s a sophomore (15 or 16) when they first lock eyes. The age gap? It's all part of the forbidden crush drama.

Why This Number Gets Confusing

Here’s the fun part: Darren Barnet, the actor, was born in 1991. When the show started filming in 2019, he was 28 years old. That’s a full decade older than his character.

It’s a classic Hollywood magic trick. A high-school hottie played by a full-on adult. Don’t let that ruin the illusion – just enjoy the ride.

The Season-by-Season Shift

By Season 2, Paxton is a senior. He’s now 17, maybe almost 18. That whole “older man” vibe is still intact.

Season 3 bumps him to graduation age. He’s 18 and off to Arizona State. Meanwhile, Devi is still a junior at 16 or 17. The gap feels huge.

And let’s not forget the flashbacks. We see Paxton as a little kid with his sister. In those scenes, he’s probably 10. But his actual, present-day age stays fixed on that senior-year sweet spot.

The Real Quirky Fact

Here’s the kicker: Paxton never celebrates a birthday on screen. Seriously. No cake, no candles, no “Happy Birthday” chorus. We just have to guess.

Some fans think he’s a late bloomer age-wise. Maybe he’s 17 for most of the show’s run. Others argue he turns 18 right before graduation. It’s a mystery.

Another weird detail? Paxton’s driver's license. He drives a sleek car, but we never see his ID. For a guy who’s constantly getting into trouble, you’d think a cop would ask.

Why We Even Care

Let’s be honest – this question is just fun. It’s a tiny puzzle in a big, messy love story. You don’t need an exact number to get why Devi is obsessed.

Paxton’s age is the MacGuffin of his whole persona. He’s the cool, unattainable guy you’re not supposed to have. The age gap makes him feel even more out of reach.

Plus, wondering about his age lets us gossip. It’s a safe nerdy debate. You can argue it with friends over pizza.

The Final Verdict (Kind Of)

So, how old is Paxton? Officially, 16 to 18 across the series. That’s the canon answer. But in our hearts, he’s timeless.

He’s the eternal popular jock. The guy who always has a slight mystery about him. Age is just a number, but Paxton is a vibe.

Next time you rewatch, keep an eye out. See if you can spot a clue. Maybe a yearbook, a class schedule, or a throwaway line. Until then, enjoy the crush. He’s old enough to steal your heart, and that’s all that matters.
